On March 14, 2022, 416 places available in 21 pre-school institutions have been identified for the temporary employment of refugee children of preschool age. At the same time, for the temporary employment of refugee children of school age, 1412 places were identified available in 36 primary and secondary education institutions, as follows:
● grades I-IV – 517 places;
● grades V-IX – 547 places;
● grades X-XII – 348 places.
The principals of the educational institutions were informed about the concrete actions to be taken by them for the temporary placement of refugee children. They received a model of standard applications regarding the temporary employment of refugee children in primary and secondary education institutions in Romanian and Russian.
21 children aged 3-6 / 7 are employed in 11 preschool institutions in Chisinau. All children are provided with personalized teaching materials, school supplies and hygiene products.
Out of 131 public primary and secondary education institutions with teaching in Romanian and Russian in Chisinau, 291 students were temporarily enrolled in 40 institutions. Of them:
– grades I-IV – 136 students;
– grades V – IX – 140 students;
– grades X – XII – 15 students.
Some Children’s Creation Centers have started working with children from refugee families. The “Luceafărul” Children’s Creation Center carried out activities with 74 children of refugee families from the MOLDEXPO Sorting Center, the Phthisiopulmonology Hospital and from the Community Center for Children and Youth Botanica District
The GREEN GATE-Spring Day Camp for the children of refugee families inside the City Center for Young Naturalists started its activity on March 10th. At the moment, 3 groups of 12 children are already formed.
